This Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) defines the set of definitions and guidance on foundational principles used when designing infrastructure for Ink Systems. It is easy to get lost in the moment given the agile nature of our operations, so it is important to temper our zeal by adhering to the following 5 pillars of a well-formed architecture as described by Amazon [1]. Though in our case we are using Amazon (since it is the primary infrastructure support we are using) these principles are generic in nature and should be practiced regardless of the underlying provider.
